ACCEPTING CHILDREN FROM AGE 12 MONTHS TO 5 YEARS
12 MONTHS TO 24 MONTHS ADMISSION INFORMATION
We have a brand new baby area which has capacity for 6 children under the age of 2.
The area is equipped with Montessori resources as well as educational toys for the younger age group, to ensure gentle introduction of children to the Montessori method.
A highly professional team of early years teachers provide high standards of Montessori care and education with the ratio of 1 teacher to 3 children.
BOOKING OF THE PLACE
We always encourage parents to book a visit before committing to the place to make sure you meet our staff and see the facilities. Once you have visited and are ready to book the place, please get in touch with the Head Office by email to office@dulwichmontessori.co.uk to check that we have availability for your required sessions and start date. Don't forget to mention if you are eligible for the Working Parents Funding as we can only claim the funding at the start of each term, and we can't claim it if your chosen start date is part way through a term.
Once we confirm the availability of the sessions please complete the registration form by following the link here: REGISTRATION FORM.
FEES INFORMATION
Due to high staff:pupil ratio and limited places, the minimum attendance for 12-24 months old children is 2 full days per week (9am- 3pm) for those not eligible for the working parents funding, or 3 days 9-3pm for those eligible for the 15 hours working parents funding.
Places for this age group are only available on term time basis. You will be able to switch to an all year round place (and add 3-6pm sessions) from the end of the term after your child turns 2.
FEES FOR CHILDREN NOT ELIGIBLE FOR 9 MONTHS+ WORKING PARENTS FUNDING (AMOUNT PER TERM)
CLAIMING OF THE WORKING PARENTS GOVERNMENT GRANT FUNDING
We are registered to claim the Working Parents Government Grant funding available for eligible children over the age of 9 months, to help parents with fees. This funding will reduce fees payable by parents, and consequently the fees invoices for parents of eligible children will be lower. The Working Parents Government Grant funding is available for up to 15 hours per week. Parents of eligible children must provide a valid code before the funding can be applied. Parents must inform us if they are already receiving any funding for their child in another Nursery/Playgroup.
FEES FOR CHILDREN ELIGIBLE FOR 9 MONTHS+ WORKING PARENTS FUNDING (PER TERM)
Minimum attendance requirement is 3 days 9-3pm
As a Montessori School, we provide, and charge for, in addition to the basic grant-funded sessions and additional hours:
• Fresh fruit or alternative break-time snack for each child every day. This promotes healthy eating at an early age.
• Award winning “My Montessori Child” progress tracking software allowing us record observations and track each child’s progress effectively, for which we pay a cost for each child. Each parent receives a log in and password and is able to see their child's progress as well as receive interactive home learning suggestions based on child's current interests.
• An extensive range of Montessori learning and play equipment designed to help children develop.
• Montessori trained and qualified staff. Our Montessori Teachers are Level 4 qualified.
• Montessori Accredited curriculum.
• Forest School Sessions - we have our own qualified Level 3 Forest School Leaders who provide Forest school sessions and outings as part of the curriculum.
• All our staff have completed Paediatric First Aid training and we have achieved Millie's Mark award for excellence in first aid which proves our commitment to keeping children safe.
• Extra staff to enable higher teacher:child ratio which enables more attention for each child at this important stage in their development, than the minimum ratio required by Early Years.
• Some of our extra-curricular activities with outside coaches are provided at no extra cost to parents. Please check with the nursery staff for the current list of free activities. In 2024/2025 academic year we are offering Tennis lessons, Music with Lucy Sparkles, Play Phonics, Singing with Ian and Spanish lessons as extra-curricular activities without extra charges (costs for these are covered by the additional fees).
We are not able to use grant funding to cover the cost of the additional provision.
The charges for additional hours are shown above, and include charges for additional provision.
