Putting Children’s Safety First
Dulwich Montessori Nursery & Forest School is proud to hold Millie’s Mark, a nationally recognised quality mark for excellence in paediatric first aid.
Millie’s Mark is awarded to childcare settings that go above and beyond the minimum requirements for first aid, demonstrating a strong whole-setting commitment to keeping children safe. To achieve the accreditation, settings must ensure that 100% of staff working directly with children are trained in paediatric first aid, while also demonstrating that their knowledge, confidence and emergency procedures remain embedded in everyday practice.
Our Millie’s Mark Journey
We first achieved Millie’s Mark in 2019and were delighted to successfully achieve the award again in May 2024.
For us, Millie’s Mark is about much more than holding first aid certificates. It reflects the importance we place on making sure our team feels confident, prepared and able to respond effectively should a child need first aid or emergency care.
The accreditation process includes reviewing first aid procedures, staff confidence, training records, risk management and how first aid knowledge is maintained throughout the nursery.
